Anne Rice 1.5 final

by plushpuffin

Glossary with reverse-replacement and rearrangement of terms

build 5

Anne Rice can perform reverse-replacement in Modify News, replace partial words or whole words only, perform case-insensitive searches, and replace only the first occurrence or all occurrences. You can easily select which fields to run search-and-replace on by visiting Coranto's Advanced Settings page.

Please note that Anne Rice's text database format is not compatible with Abe's text database format. However, it doesn't require much effort to convert it in a text editor if you feel like doing so.

Anne Rice also allows you to set the name and location of the glossdat.txt file, which stores the glossary entries and the settings for each one. This means that two separate Coranto installations on the same server may share a glossdat.txt file if you feel like setting it up that way.

Anne Rice 1.4 has an experimental new feature which should allow the use of UBB code. Try it out and let me know what you think, but for the love of all that is sacred, please back up your newsdat.txt and configuration files.

Anne Rice 1.5 has had its replacement/reverse-replacement code optimized, and it now supports case-insensitive matches. If there are any problems, please email me ASAP. Back up your newsdat.txt and configuration files before using installing this upgrade.

Merry Christmas 2003!
